Great Buys Affiliate programs explained and how to use them

So your wanting to make money on the Internet? You have heard of affiliate programs, but not sure what they are. Let me explain. Affiliate programs are basically a relationship between you and another company, where you promote their product in exchange for a commission when you make a sale. The most common way of using these programs is to develop a website, post relevant links / advertising on your site, in hopes visitors click on your links and purchase something. There are many many affiliate programs out there. Some good, some bad. Besides finding a good reliable company you need to find a company that matches your site. Besides affiliate companies where you sign up and have access to a lot of different advertisers, most companies have a link on their site to sign up as an affiliate or associate. E-bay and Amazon are 2 examples, go their site and look at bottom of page to find links to sign up. I guess I should mention signing up and doing this is 100% free. Do not sign up for an affiliate program until you have a website up. Almost all of them will check your website 1st prior to accepting you. So get a website up 1st. I personally use place holders for where I want to place ads.

A well established powerhouse on the Internet. Sign up with them, again completely free, and go thru their categories and advertisers. 100's if not 1000's to choose from. Including most of the major advertisers out there. cj.com is a must.
