Google Adwords Google Adwords is a way to drive traffic to your site. It is not free, but can be cost effective with a little planning and tweaking. By tweaking I mean changing the keywords you are bidding on, etc. Sorry, I got ahead of myself. Let me explain google adwords. If you go to Google and do a search you will see a couple of listings at the top and a row on the right. Those are Adwords advertisers that have bid on keywords and are paying to have their ad their. In addition many websites, including some of the largest out there have Adwords advertisements show on their page. See my Adsense page for how this works. Google Adwords can be a great way to drive targeted advertising to your site.
Adwords Explained So you want and need more traffic to your website? Who doesn't? Adwords works via keywords. If you don't know what keywords are go thru the rest of my site and then come back here. With Adwords, you create an advertisement ( Don't worry Google makes it easy), you then choose keywords to bid on. The keywords can be tricky as some have more competition than others. This is where we need targeted advertising. We are not after clicks, we are after sales. Google let's you control which sites or placement you want and they have far more info than I could ever write here on the subject.
Adwords while not free, is a great way to increase traffic if your careful on keywords. I would recommend creating an ad, setting a monthly budget, and finally tweaking your ad and keywords. Go to google.com click on advertising programs, then Adwords. Read up and study before you start this. Google also has some great forums to read thru and ask questions. Gary Porter
